Suarez denies he’s staying at Liverpool

Luis Suarez has said he never told anybody that he would remain with Liverpool. His statement came soon after an earlier one that suggested he had given up on transfer for the sake of Liverpool fans whom he said had shown him so much love.

“I didn’t say it,” Suarez told journalists following Uruguay’s 4-2 win over Japan.

The quick turnaround shouldn’t be particularly shocking given the nature of Suarez’ transfer saga, with Liverpool intent on keeping him in the fold and the player ready to move on.

The earlier reports hinted that Suarez seemed to had performed a sensational u-turn over his future and insisted that he would remain at Anfield.

The Uruguay international has been eager to leave England, aggrieved by his treatment from the British media, but the Reds are unwilling to let their star player leave.

Arsenal, where participation in the Champions League appealed to Suarez, pushed hard to sign the 26-year-old, though a bid of £42m – which would have smashed the club’s transfer record – was rejected.

Earlier in the day the former Ajax front man appeared to have finally accepted Liverpool’s no-sale stance, and was reported as saying that the club’s passionate fan base had convinced him to remain on Merseyside.

“Right now, because of all the love of the fans, I will be staying,” Uruguayan newspaper El Observador quoted him as having said.”

CHRIS BROWN HIT-AND-RUN CASE DISMISSED!

Chris Brown's hit-and-run case was just dismissed, even though prosecutors argued Chris deserved to be punished and punished severely for his alleged vehicular misdeed.

Chris and the victim struck a civil compromise -- she didn't want any money because the damage was so minor and she wanted the case dismissed.  But the L.A. City Attorney objected, arguing to the judge this morning that Brown was very aggressive toward the victim after the accident -- calling her a "bitch."  

The City Attorney also argued that Brown was on felony probation and therefore his alleged misconduct of leaving the scene without anteing up a California driver's license was all the more serious.

The judge, however, didn't buy the City Attorney's argument and dismissed the case.  

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos tells TMZ, "The case never should have been filed in the first place.  It's unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he's done.

He's only recently become a father for the first time but workaholic Kanye West is already taking time away from his new family.
The rapper was spotted taking a ride in a luxury speedboat on Greece's sparkling Aegean Sea on Sunday.
Yet Kim Kardashian and baby daughter North - known as Nori - must have decided to stay on dry land in Los Angeles as they were nowhere to be seen.

Doctors for Amanda Bynes got a 30-day extension on her psychiatric hold ironically because she's doing better -- and surprisingly it involves a cascade of tears ... TMZ has learned.

And we're told Amanda spent Thursday night confiding in one of the nurses about her future, saying she's fine and did not need confinement in a hospital.  We're told the doctors believe her ability to form clear thoughts is progress.

It seems a little inconsistent that she's doing better yet doctors sounded the alarm that they needed to keep her for an additional 30 days because she was "gravely disabled."  We're told doctors insist they were honest about her condition and feel they can help her with more time.

Crisis Rocks Tinsel As Chris Attoh Quits

There seems to be an unending crisis in Nigeria's TV soap opera with the highest number of episode aired, Tinsel as another actor has dumped the production to pursue other career interests.

Tinsel has witnessed the exodus of Damilola Adegbite, Angela and now Chris Attoh, who has spent seven years with the MNET Africa's production.

The Ghanaian actor, who plays Kwame Mensah in Tinsel, will have his last scenes in the popular soap shot in September.

Attoh thanked the producer of the series and wished them good luck. He said in a statement that, "the last seven years on Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. Working with MNET was phenomenal and it took a lot of deliberation but I have decided to pursue other career interests."

With the way actors leave Tinsel, no one knows who's next to quit the series. Some ardent followers of Tinsel claim that after the exit of Angela, they lost interest in the series.

Man at center of the Justin Bieber brawl claims the pop singer DID attack him

Wayne Rennalls who claims that Justin Bieber and his entourage attacked him on August 3 has given a press conference alleging that the pop singer kicked him during the brawl.

Footage from the night of the altercation did not show Justin involved in the fight, but Wayne, 22, claims that Justin did get physical. 

'He [Bieber] got around and kicked me,' Wayne said at a press conference in Bay Shore on Friday, alongside his attorney Mark Rudner.

An unnamed spokesperson for Justin Bieber declined to comment on the allegations when contacted by MailOnline.

Meanwhile, Wayne claims the fight with Justin and his entourage started after the pop singer became jealous over girls that he wanted to party with.

'Justin Bieber [was] still running his mouth and I took my shirt off to fight,' he said.

'That’s when they all hopped out of the truck and bum-rushed me. They said, "That’s your f*****g a**,’ and the first one came to me, and I put my hands up to fight, to protect myself.'

According to the New York Daily News, Sophia Rayo, 32, and Diana Bhokasub, 24, were  'handpicked' by Justin to go back to his accommodation after he partied at South Pointe club in Southampton, New York, over the weekend.

Rayo and Bhokasub, both stunning brunettes who work as a cocktail waitresses, were witnesses to the brawl that ensued in the early hours of Sunday morning as they, Bieber, and his entourage left the venue.

Bieber reportedly asked Rayo and Bhokasub to accompany him home that night.

The two women obliged and then became embroiled in the heated exchange between Bieber, his security and fellow clubgoer, 22-year-old Wayne Rennalls.

Justin and his entourage were reportedly involved in the incident after Rennalls tried to retrieve a bow tie from one of the flirtatious waitress, who was seen leaving with the singer.

A witness told the New York Daily News that the patron was not defending a female friend's honour as first reported but was actually trying to get back his property.

The witness said: 'Justin left the club with two waitresses. But the guys on the next table were not happy.'

'One of the waitresses... was flirtatiously wearing a bow tie, which one of the guys on the next table had loaned to her.

'As she got into Bieber’s SUV, the guys chased her out, saying they wanted the bow tie back. Bieber’s security pushed back, and a scuffle started.

'As Bieber and his team drove away, someone threw a rock at his car.

'Bieber jumped out of the sun roof and got on the hood of the car, while his security knocked the guy to the floor.'

Rennalls was reportedly hospitalised following the brawl which reportedly started in the V.I.P area of the club but escalated in the car park of a Hamptons nightclub.

According to sources, he suffered from bruised ribs and a black eye.

However, according to a law enforcement sources who told the New York Daily News, one of Justin's bodyguards also got injured in the fracas.

'It will likely turn out that Rennalls instigated the fight. One of Justin’s bodyguards was also injured in the confrontation, which has not been reported,' they told the paper.

Footage of an incident in the Southpointe Nightclub has been released showing the Beauty And A Beat singer leaping out of an SUV's sunroof in what has been described as being like 'a scene from Die Hard' as other men appear to be engaging in a physical confrontation.

TMZ broke the story ... Usher's son was hospitalized after he almost drowned in a pool under the care of his aunt. His parents decided to keep him under doctors' care until they were 100% sure he was okay.

The L.A. City Fire Dept. rushed to a Hollywood recording studio early Friday morning, after getting a 911 call that Chris Brown had a seizure ... TMZ has learned.

The call came from Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood at 1:09 AM.  When EMTs arrived ... we're told Chris refused treatment and also refused to be transported to the hospital.  

We do not know if it was indeed a seizure, but we've learned Chris did suffer from seizures as a child.

The past three years has been a very emotional period for me. I focused my energy on work and to build back my self esteem. its been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence.

I've been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I've tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve that there's really no right time because every second of the day,lives are being lost due to domestic violence. I was a victiim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.

Growing up as a girl. I was always known as the sweetest kid on the block, before I got married, I have been through some relationships and for once no man had ever laid a finger on me.

The first time it happened in my marriage I didn't understand it because I am not the type of woman a man beats but I guess there are no types. It just happens and no woman deserves it. 

As a young girl I thought it was love or his way of expressing his emotions,after every beating he pleads , cries and says it won't happen again, once again I thought it was love and made excuses for him. Over the years when it kept happening consistently I started looking for other definitions for it. 

I started loosing my self pride,self esteem , self worth, and most painfully i lost a pregnancy (Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process then I realised how serious and abnormal it really was.

I have heard and read a lot of accusations from ignorant people who don't know my story,I guess that's why they are ignorant. I was 20yrs old and very naïve to the world when I got married .“ They said I married for money“ LOL. I was married to a corporate guy,who had a 9_5 job in a bank, Lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe.. So do the maths! . 

I married for love. I did a traditional wedding. A white wedding and a court wedding. So that's how much I wanted to be married forever. For five years I hoped, prayed & wished that one day it will all change. But the last straw that broke the carmels back was during a heated argument he threw a glass jug to my face and I dogged it and it shattered on d wall. I saw death flash before me and I made a decision to save my life. I left my marriage.

Am not saying this to draw pity from anyone because we are entitled to our opinions and believes. I am not also saying this to discourage people from falling in love because its a beautiful feeling and I still believe in it. I am saying this to educate, share and talk about my experience as a victim of domestic violence because it is real.

Veteran actor and Lagos prince, Jide Kosoko has released a statement defending embattled Lagos state Governor, Babatunde fashola over the deportation of some Ibo destitutes from the state.

I disagree with the people criticising the deportation. There are reasons for everything. Since there have been negotiations between Lagos and the state concerned and the government believes their home state would take better care of them, I think the action was appropriate. 

We don’t need to shy away from the fact that Lagos is over-populated because of its commercial advantage. Anybody doing a legitimate work here is entitled to stay but a situation where they are turning themselves to a nuisance in the state and they would go as far as inviting others to come is not acceptable. 

Let’s not deceive ourselves, look at the highways, are they not better? I am not speaking for the government but for myself. To me, whoever constitutes a nuisance in any state, not just Lagos, let them be sent back home.

It is very unfortunate that we are in a multi-ethnic country; that is the major problem we are having. We find it difficult to say the truth.
