Rihanna has taken to Twitter to defend herself from an unprovoked attack by Amanda Bynes.
Troubled actress Bynes tweeted RiRi with an insult about her looks and a reference to Chris Brown's 2009 assault on her.
She then told the singer that she planned to name her dog after her, writing: "No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna."
But Rihanna came out fighting, replying: "Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?"
Bynes has been in the news recently after an arrest for allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her apartment building.
The 27-year-old had deleted her initial tweets, but started again when she saw RiRi's response.
She wrote: "@rihanna unlike ur fugly faced self I don't do drugs! U need the intervention dog! I met ur ugly face in person! U aren't pretty u know it!"
